With a wide range of sports, training and opportunities across all of the organisations involved, the first Coach Core programme location has gone from strength to strength, directly benefitting apprentices and enhancing the coaching they are able to give to others.
The current programme provides apprentices full time employment with a recognised sporting or youth based employer, and a wage, whilst also working towards the Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification – plus a whole host of additional learning opportunities. In addition, whilst employed directly by one organisation, there is also access to a range of events, training opportunities and experiences through the other supportive partners.
The employers for the London Coach Core programme are: Harlequins Foundation, Dallaglio RugbyWorks, Fulham FC Foundation, Street League, Ahoy Centre, Project Turn-Over and London Youth Rowing. The programme is administered by London Sport.
