The FE Week and AELP AAC Apprenticeship Awards are a celebration of excellence in apprenticeship delivery in the UK and provide an opportunity to give the recognition employers and providers deserve. The Awards were established in 2017 as a joint project by FE Week and AELP, with the national awards ceremony taking place at the Annual Apprenticeship Conference Gala Dinner.

Coach Core were nominated for two awards at the 2024 event: Apprenticeship Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Provider Recognition Award and the Widening Participation Award. Coach Core were delighted and honoured to win former, its 3rd win in this category over the last 4 years.

Working with people from under-served communities – to support them individually and to help them become role models for their communities – is at the heart of the Coach Core programme and this award is meaningful recognition for that work.

Winning the Apprenticeship Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Provider Recognition Award for the 3rd time in 4 years speaks volumes about the dedication of everyone in the Coach Core network. We understand the pressing need for more sports and physical activity opportunities in under-served communities, led by relatable faces. Together with our partners, we're committed to bridging that gap by offering apprenticeships to improve the life-chances of 16-24 year olds across the UK who traditionally may experience barriers, discrimination, and lack of opportunities. It's a real honour to have our efforts acknowledged with this award.
