How your donation helps
£15 could enable a Coach Core apprentice to provide sports coaching and mentoring to 13 young people from disadvantaged or challenging backgrounds.
£35 could provide sports kit needed for the apprenticeship
£50 could enable an apprentice to complete their first coaching qualification.
'Prior to Coach Core, I was struggling to see what my future would hold... I didn’t feel my learning needs were fully understood and I didn’t receive the GCSE grades I wanted as a result. I always knew I had a passion for being active but wasn’t sure what options I had. My confidence had taken a hit after my previous negative experiences in education and I lacked belief in myself.
The apprenticeship opened my eyes to new experiences... I actually started to enjoy studying again. It gave me access to opportunities that I could never have dreamt of! My long term ambition is to use this experience to become a qualified physiotherapist. A few years’ ago, I would never have imagined that pathway but I am now really excited for the future.'
