How your donation helps
- £12 could enable a Coach Core apprentice to provide an hour of sports coaching and mentoring to 14 young people from disadvantaged or challenging backgrounds.
- £50 could help our Employment Coach collaborate with job centres and schools, increasing awareness of the Coach Core apprenticeship program among young people.
- £250 could fund a virtual workshop, equipping apprentices with vital skills like mental health management and financial literacy.
'Prior to Coach Core, I was struggling to see what my future would hold... I didn’t feel my learning needs were fully understood and I didn’t receive the GCSE grades I wanted as a result. I always knew I had a passion for being active but wasn’t sure what options I had. My confidence had taken a hit after my previous negative experiences in education and I lacked belief in myself.
The apprenticeship opened my eyes to new experiences... I actually started to enjoy studying again. It gave me access to opportunities that I could never have dreamt of! My long term ambition is to use this experience to become a qualified physiotherapist. A few years’ ago, I would never have imagined that pathway but I am now really excited for the future.'
