You will be on a Community Activator Coach apprenticeship, which allows you to get a qualification and get paid to do it! Your qualification will be delivered by Lifetime Training, but you will be part of the Coach Core family – giving you access to loads of extra perks, including kit, training from partners such as UK Coaching and the chance to coach at local/regional sporting events.
This apprenticeship is designed for individuals who wish to have a full-time career in coaching gymnastics.

This role will involve the design and delivery of sports, fitness, health & wellbeing sessions for pan-disability groups of young people aged 11+ and adults. Initial assessment, tracking & monitoring of progress using a Person-centred approach. Adapting for individual requirements.

Sports apprentice who, with support, will deliver in nurseries and schools within Leicester. Office work is also within the job specification, liaising with the finance, operations and quality control directors – never a boring day!

All Coach Core apprentices receive:
- An employment placement
- A minimum salary of at least National Apprenticeship Wage
- Nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification
- Additional training and development opportunities
- Mentoring and support from experienced, dedicated staff
- Access to events and opportunities not seen on any other programme
- A commitment to work with you to find a positive exit route at the end of the programme
Your Qualification
- Community Activator Coach (Level 2)
- Community Sports & Health Officer (Level 3)
What to expect
The programme will last 15-18 months. You will be employed and paid for a minimum of 30 hours per week, and that will include your ‘education day’ – a day spent with your tutor and other Coach Core apprentices working towards your qualification.
We are looking for people who are:
- Available for full-time employment 30 hours a week for 15-18 months
- Have enthusiasm for teaching others and growing sport in your community
