Becoming a Coach Core apprentice is a chance to simultaneously earn money from working a real job, whilst also getting education that will result in an industry-recognised qualification. Axis Trampoline & Gymnastics Club – much more than just Trampolining in Bristol. Their passionate trampolining and gymnastics coaching team ensure that fun and enjoyment are at the heart of everything we do. As part of your Intermediate Level Apprenticeship, you’ll be provided the opportunity to experience a full-time career in coaching gymnastics/trampolining, develop skills within yourself and assist the club in maintaining core operations.

You will develop skills to scope, organise and coordinate the delivery of opportunities for local communities to get more people engaged in everyday walking.

You will explore skills to engage and build relationships with partners across the district and provide support to enable them to increase and strengthen walking opportunities and to successfully implement behavioural change skills within their communities.

You will be involved in practical experience of how to develop and devise appropriate walking opportunities and learn how to work with local government bodies and community organisations, the voluntary sector and sport for development agencies.

You will be a permanent member of the Community, Sport and Health team. You will be required to work across sports centres in the area under supervision delivering fun, inclusive and engaging sport and physical activity sessions.

Join Changing Lives in Essex as a Sports Coach Apprentice, where you’ll assist in delivering sports coaching sessions in schools, half-term camps, and community projects. Working alongside experienced coaches, you’ll engage participants, set up equipment, and support administrative tasks while promoting teamwork and physical well-being. All Coach Core apprentices receive:

  • An employment placement
  • A minimum salary of at least National Apprenticeship Wage
  • Nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification

What to expect

The programme will last 15-18 months. You will be employed and paid for a minimum of 30 hours per week, and that will include your ‘education day’ – a day spent with your tutor and other Coach Core apprentices working towards your qualification.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Available for full-time employment 30 hours a week for 15-18 months
  • Have enthusiasm for teaching others and growing sport in your community
