Protecting against gaming and gambling harms

Coach Core Foundation have been working with YGAM, an award-winning education charity committed to a social purpose to inform, educate and safeguard young people against gaming and gambling harms. YGAM have been training our apprentices to increase their knowledge around these vital safeguarding topics:

• Mental health and wellbeing
• Gaming and gambling harms
• Advertising and sponsorship
• The blurred lines between gaming and gambling
• How to spot signs of harm
• Where to get help and support

In addition, all of our apprentices receive access to YGAM’s resources portal, with over 1,000 sessions to help raise further awareness with the young people they will be working with at their sports organisations. YGAM offer workshops to sports organisations, education professionals, youth workers, healthcare professionals and University staff.
