Ambassador Programme

Calling all Coach Core graduates...Use your experience to influence real change, apply for the Ambassador Programme today

At Coach Core, we believe young people should be at the heart of everything we do. We know the best way to improve the apprentice experience and create lasting change is by listening to those with lived experience. Your insight, ideas and perspectives help us understand what works, what needs to change, and how we can improve. The Ambassador Programme builds on our commitment to youth voice, giving young people a structured way to influence our work. It provides opportunities to contribute to projects, help shape future programmes, and drive positive change across Coach Core.

About the Ambassador Programme

The Coach Core Ambassador Programme will give you the chance to build new skills, grow your confidence, and gain valuable experience that supports your personal and professional development.

You’ll be able to share your experiences, influence decisions, and help shape our programmes and activities. You will also have the opportunity to take part in task and finish groups (see info in FAQs), where you’ll work with others on specific projects to make real improvements.

Through the programme, you’ll help improve the apprentice experience, have your voice heard, and represent Coach Core. It also creates opportunities for you to take your next steps into leadership, specialist roles, or other future opportunities.

“The Coach Core Ambassador Programme is a fantastic opportunity for graduates to stay connected, develop new skills, build confidence and help shape the future of Coach Core for the next generation of apprentices.”

– Nana Yaw-Badu, Coach Core Graduate

What You’ll Do as an Ambassador

As an ambassador, you might:

  • Help shape how Coach Core supports apprentices
  • Take part in small project groups to improve specific areas of our work (for example, planning events or making changes to our recruitment processes)
  • Share your experience to help us understand what works (and what doesn’t)
  • Represent Coach Core at events or activities
  • Support content, campaigns or workshops

Is This Right for Me?

This programme could be for you if you:

  • Want to share your ideas and experiences
  • Are interested in building new skills and confidence
  • Want to make a difference to future apprentices
  • Are open to trying new opportunities and learning new things

You don’t need previous experience to apply. We’re looking for people who are willing to get involved, share their views, and learn.

Who Can Apply

The Ambassador Programme is open to those who have completed a Coach Core apprenticeship.

You can express your interest directly, or you may be nominated by a Coach Core Workforce, Skills and Apprenticeship Lead. All applicants will be asked to complete a short application outlining why they are interested and what skills or experiences they bring.

You will need to have the support of your organisation to take part in the programme.

Commitment as an Ambassador

Ambassadors are asked to commit to an initial period of one year, offering flexibility while providing enough time to contribute meaningfully and build your experience.

Within that time period, you will be asked to support at least one Task and Finish group, as well as more sporadic opportunities, such as attending events or providing insight for our work.

What does it involve?

You will attend an initial kickoff meeting to meet the other ambassadors and learn more about the programme. This session will be around an hour long.

Over the course of the 12-month period, you will take part in at least one task and finish project, alongside some of the other ambassadors.

These are focused pieces of work linked to specific Coach Core priorities, typically lasting 1-4 weeks.

These projects are designed to give you the chance to focus on a specific challenge and work with others to help shape real changes.
