Great Scottish Run Half Marathon
Scotland’s friendliest city always delivers on the support front, with crowds of locals turning out each year to cheer and high-five from beginning to end.
With a city centre start and finish, the Great Scottish Run is a celebration of everything that makes Glasgow truly great: inspiring urban architecture, green spaces, history, music, strength, spirit and, of course, great people, personality and humour. Thousands of runners take part each year to challenge themselves and to raise money for good causes. The course for the half marathon starts at George Square in the heart of Glasgow and takes runners through the city, passing by the Clyde Arc bridge, the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), and the Riverside Museum.
