“The quality of nominations gets stronger every year, which makes our judges’ jobs tougher and tougher. Each of this year’s finalists has a powerful story to tell about their journey and the difference they are making. The impact our employers and apprentices have on their communities is truly amazing, they are delivering sport and physical activity sessions to the people and places they know best, in parks, clubs and often their old schools. As relatable role models they can make their communities – which are often deprived or disempowered – happier and healthier places.

Our external panel of judges from across, and outside, the sector have read about Coach Core’s apprentices, mentors, employers and learning coaches who are all from very different backgrounds and have very different stories to tell about the barriers they have overcome and the impact they are having now. I can guarantee you will be inspired and excited about just how incredible the Coach Core community can be when given the chance to flourish.”
