Apprentices, tutors and graduates come together to attend The Coach Core Awards 2018

Today, (September 24th) over 200 Coach Core apprentices and graduates will travel to Loughborough University to celebrate their achievements as they take part in our first ever Coach Core Awards.

The awards include categories for Apprentice of the Year and Educator of the Year, which will presented by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, respectively.

Awards aside, this day is about recognising the hard work of ALL members of Team Coach Core and bringing everyone together under one roof.

The morning will comprise of masterclass sessions with sports stars including Laura Robson, Scott Hann, Ugo Monye & Sarah Hunter and Mark Ramprakash.

BT Sport’s very own Jake Humphrey will then host a panel session with even more sporting pros just for our apprentices. The panel line-up includes Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Paula Radcliffe, Eboni Beckford-Chambers, Danny Kerry, Mel Marshall and David Robinson.

With all guests coming together towards the end of the day, the Coach Core Awards ceremony will get underway. The categories are:

  • Mentor of the Year
  • Community Outreach Project of the Year
  • Educator of the Year
  • Inclusion Programme of the Year
  • Graduate of the Year
  • Apprentice of the Year
