Announcing Life Locker, in partnership with Collinson
An exciting new annual development programme for our apprentices, created and delivered in partnership with Collinson.
Today marks the start of Coach Core’s new Life Locker programme, co-created and delivered with our partner Collinson. Life Locker is a bi-annual online development programme, available for all Coach Core apprentices. Delivered by experts across Collinson, it is a series of accredited workshops that will give our apprentices additional skills and knowledge to kickstart their careers.
“The gaps between education and employment can be daunting. Both employers and young people can often voice concerns about not being work ready, so we wanted to do something about it. The Youth Employment UK Employability Review highlighted communication, teamwork, problem solving, self-management and self-belief as key skills for young people. Some of these skills are the most important ones that we will use in our lives, with the highest stakes. Life Locker is built around these employability skills and we are delighted to have co-created it with Collinson to meet this need and to support our apprentices to thrive.”
Sessions range from soft skills such as Effective Communication, Decision Making and Problem Solving, to more technical ones such as Finance, and IT Skills.

Coach Core and Collinson began working together in October 2016 after Collinson donated £100,000 to help launch our London apprenticeship programme. In September 2021 our partnership was extended for another 3 years.
