Coach Core supports inaugural Include Summit

Coach Core were delighted to support the inaugural Include Summit, by co-delivering the Career Development Showcase

By James Burbidge · 18th March 2022

The inaugural Include Summit (which took place in Birmingham on the 8th and 9th March 2022) was the UK’s largest conference focused on equality, diversity and inclusion in sport, with over 60 discussion sessions and more than 50 different speakers. To support the Include Summit mission to get 1 million underprivileged and underrepresented young people taking part in sport, Coach Core were delighted to co-deliver the Career Development Showcase for young people, in partnership with Careers in Sport. Young people were able to meet experts from across the sector, to learn more about what they do, ask questions and pick up lots of helpful advice. Attendees included representatives from elite sport, sport business and event management.

Amy Fazackerley, National Partnerships Manager at Coach Core, says:

We were delighted to be asked to support the inaugural Include Summit and be part of the nationwide movement to address inequality in sport. We hope that young people will feel inspired by the passion of those working to improve access to sport and physical activity- and also hope they will increase their awareness and aspirations of the opportunities available.

We hope this will be the start of a long term partnership with the Include Summit, to continue to change the narrative around inclusion in sport.
