With partners including Manchester City in the Community, Manchester United FC Foundation, Lancashire Cricket Club, Sale Sharks Community, England Volleyball, Basketball England, Eastlands Trust, Diane Modahl Sports Foundation and Sports Group, our apprentices will be given the chance to work, learn and experience an untold number of opportunities across the 12 month programme resulting in them going onto further education or employment when they graduate. With nearly one in four 16-24’s unemployed in the Manchester area, we felt it was critical that Coach Core launched its first north England project in the city to help tackle this.

We have sourced the best employers to help work collaboratively and provide these incredible work placements and learning opportunities whilst undertaking the key Coach Core education at the heart of it. They will also provide a number of venues and staff across the consortium to best help shape and develop the apprentices thus demonstrating the power of multiple organisations sharing resources to reduce costs and burdens on one employer.

Their inspirational tutor, Matt Kosylo, is from the Salford area, plays semi-professionally for Halifax Town and has been working in education for some time now. At the recruitment event Matt said:

I can’t wait to get started to be honest. It’s an amazing programme and I’m excited about what the partners can bring let alone the apprentices!
