Town Hall
Hear from us, and let us hear from you - our bi-annual open forum.
Coach Core’s Town Halls are a chance for us to provide some updates about what we’ve been doing and what we’re planning to do. Crucially, they’re also an opportunity for us to get feedback on those updates and to hear from you!
Our Town Halls are open to anyone in the wider Coach Core network including:, employers, apprentices, graduates, funders, donors, partners – and we’re very happy for people just learning about us to join too.
Town Halls take place twice a year (Spring and Autumn), online, and usually last 1 hour, running over lunchtime.
Our next Town Hall will take place on Wednesday October 22nd, running from 12pm-1pm.
Project 1500: One Year On
In Summer 2024, Coach Core launched Project 1500 — our mission to support 500 more apprentices by the end of our strategy in December 2027. One year on, this Town Hall is a chance to reflect on progress against the key headlines, share some of the impact so far, and look ahead to the next 12 months and the rest of our strategy.
Led by Paul Thompson (Director of People & Learning, Coach Core Foundation) and Laura Larsson (Research and Impact Manager, Coach Core Foundation), with contributions from the wider team, the session will provide updates across the pillars of our 2024–2027 strategy, including:
- Enable greater accessibility – ensuring our programmes and services are accessible to all young people, especially those most at risk of marginalisation, and to employers of all sizes.
- Enhance our offer – strengthening our current provision to ensure we provide the best possible education, support and progression routes for all.
- Advocate and influence – amplifying the voices of our apprentices and employer partners, using their experiences to influence apprenticeship provision nationally.
- Elevate our evidence – positioning Coach Core as a go-to for insight and advocacy on youth employment, the power of sport, and equality and diversity in the sector.
- Remain insight led – embedding a culture of continuous learning, integrating monitoring and evaluation into all sides of our organisational decision-making.
- Gain more supporters – inspiring more people to back Coach Core so we can continue to improve the lives of young people.
Amongst other updates, we’ll be sharing progress on our refreshed Theory of Change, our call to Government work to amplify the voices of young people and employers, and progress on new programmes launched and the young people we’ve supported over the past year. We’ll also set out what’s next, including key priorities and calls to action for the coming 12 months.
Importantly, this Town Hall is also a chance for our partners, funders, employers, apprentices and graduates to hear what we’ve been up to and to share your thoughts and ideas on how we can continue shaping this work together.
