Coach Core Devon provides opportunities to apprentices through a diverse range of valued partners that cover a variety of sports, including football, basketball, tennis and athletics.

Apprentices are offered full time employment with a recognised sporting or youth based employer, and a wage whilst also working towards the Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification – and a whole host of additional learning opportunities. In addition, whilst employed directly by one organisation, there is also access to a range of events, training opportunities and experiences through the other supportive partners.

The employers for the last Devon Coach Core programme were: Exeter City FC, Plymouth Argyle FC, Devon FA/Torquay Utd, Ivybridge Tennis, Sportsway Management, South West Athletics. The programme is administered by Active Devon.

The next programme will be geographically focused on Plymouth, rather than the wider Devon region.
