We are looking for several apprentices to join our new Bristol programme, where we have available positions with the following employers:
Our simple aim is to support young people on their journeys. We do this through: youth work, youth action, youth clubs, youth activity, youth mentoring, youth voice, detached youth work, school based work, and targeted youth work.
We work across most of the deprivation areas of South Bristol. Many of our staff come from the local communities themselves, a number have come through our projects and gone on to apprenticeships and paid roles, and we still have some original members from when we were formed.

About the Role
Whilst the specifics of the job at each employer will be different, there are some things that will stay the same. If you are successful with your application, your role will involve:
- Helping to inspire your community to develop and lead a healthy, active lifestyle
- Shadowing experienced coaches and supporting existing sessions and activities.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of sessions, taking the lead with small groups as directed
- Assisting with the reporting of participant progress and development
- Supporting the wider activities of your employer, which may include administration tasks, social media, marketing and events.
- Maintaining the health and safety of sessions/activities at all times
- Sharing knowledge and ideas with other Coach Core apprentices, to help improve coaching delivery
“I really enjoyed the programme. Having a well skilled tutor with lots of knowledge around multiple situations definitely helped. As well as this, the extra courses which I was enrolled on (multi-skills, Inclusive training, safeguarding and first aid) put me in good stead for my job at the moment, but also for the future. My future plans are a full time role with the Gloucestershire Cricket Board as a community coach and advance from there.”
